I just built a complete YouTube Competitor Analytics Dashboard—without writing a single line of code.
Here’s what makes this workflow game-changing:
The Challenge: Understanding competitor performance on YouTube typically requires expensive tools or custom development. I wanted to create an automated solution that anyone could replicate.
The Solution: By combining Claude Code (AI coding agent) with Apify (scraping tool with YouTube Agent Skills), I built an intelligent dashboard that:
✅ Scraped 305 videos from 26 competitor channels
✅ Analyzed 175 million total views
✅ Identified 14 trending topics automatically
✅ Generated visualizations for engagement patterns, topic distribution, and growth trends
The Tech Stack:
- Claude Code for autonomous development
- Apify for YouTube data scraping
- HTML/JavaScript for interactive dashboards
- Visual Studio Code as the environment
The Results: Built in just 15-20 minutes with zero manual coding. The dashboard displays:
- Topic distribution analysis
- Trending keyword clouds
- Channel specialties breakdown
- Weekly view distribution patterns
Key Workflow (6 Steps):
- Define competitor parameters
- Generate project structure via Claude Code
- Add your API token
- Execute scraping with Apify Skills
- Resolve any issues (low credit balance handled automatically)
- Spool dashboard for visualization
Why This Matters: This represents a fundamental shift in how we approach competitive analysis. AI agents don’t just assist—they architect, execute, and deliver complete solutions. The barrier between idea and implementation is disappearing.
Takeaway: If you’re still building tools manually, you’re spending 10x the time for the same result. AI-powered automation isn’t the future—it’s available right now.
